Q. I like wine but don’t know anything ... does this matter?
A. Not at all! The beginning is always the best place to start! Sit back, relax and enjoy!
Q. What type of budget do I need?
A. Because Unparalleled Taste is privately owned and independently operated, we are not dictated by a “bottom line.” Our bottom line is our client’s bottom line. Our interests are our client’s interests. The two things that influence the price of wine tasting parties are the number of guests and the price of wine. The easy thing for Unparalleled Taste is to match the wine with your budget. Our clients will have to decide on how many people they want to invite.
Q. So…how many guests should I invite?
A. Generally speaking this is what we tell our clients:
- 10-20 guests are the perfect size for an intimate, educational and enjoyable wine tasting. Due to the smaller total number of guests, the client can budget more for better wine selections.
- 20+ guests (we have had over 100 guests before!) is a perfect size for a social wine tasting party. Guests will love the service and most importantly feel special. On the other hand, we have conducted large parties where the focus was educational, and guests felt that it was intimate and a special evening.
Q. What is the minimum number of guests?
A. 10 guests is our typical minimum, but this is negotiable depending on what type of tasting you require! Numbers do need to be confirmed before the event to ensure enough wine and tasting notes for all!
Q. Do I need to supply food for a home tasting?
A. It helps to have cheese and crackers, if you would like to provide these for your guests.
Q. I don’t have enough wine glasses!
A. You don’t need to provide glasses. Unparalleled Taste will bring tasting glasses for your guests, and we provide the clean up!
Q. Do I need to pay a deposit?
A. A non-refundable deposit of $50.00 is required before the scheduled event. The full amount can be paid before or on the night/day. To make it easy for you, please you use our Pay Pal service located on the 'Payment Options & Gift Certificate' portion of this website.
Q. Can I buy wine at the tasting?
A. No, unfortunately the State of Georgia prohibits us from selling wine. We will be happy to tell you where you can find and purchase any wine that we taste.
Q. I want to taste the wines, but what if I'm the designated driver?
A. Spit buckets are always provided for drivers and those not wanting the effects of alcohol.
